This policy explains the information Crystal Compass may process when you use the website.

Information you provide

Search terms and tool selections are processed in your browser to display results. The current version does not upload specimen photos. If a contact form is added, its fields and retention period will be disclosed beside the form.

Technical information

The hosting provider may record IP address, browser type, requested URL, time, and security events in server logs. These logs are used for availability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits and interactions only after you select “Accept analytics.” Google Analytics may process page URLs, interaction events, approximate location, device and browser information, and online identifiers. We do not enable advertising personalization through this implementation and do not intentionally send names, email addresses, or other directly identifying information.

If you decline, the Google Analytics script is not loaded. Your choice is stored in your browser so we can remember it. You can review or change the choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. WordPress may set essential cookies for logged-in administrators.

Third-party services

Analytics data is processed by Google under its applicable terms and privacy practices. Learn more about Google Privacy & Terms and Google Analytics data safeguards. Web fonts may be requested from Google Fonts. External source links take you to third-party websites governed by their own policies.

Retention and choices

Google Analytics retains user-level and event-level data according to the configured property retention setting; aggregated reports may be retained longer. Operational logs are retained according to the hosting provider configuration. You may decline analytics, clear stored site data, or use browser privacy controls.
